World Book Night (WBN)  2024 –

https://cfpr.uwe.ac.uk/world-book-night-2024-in-praise-of-birds/

In Praise of Birds, was an open call to artists, writers, readers and makers around the world to respond, in the form of a postcard, to text or a book about birds, resulting in an exhibition and mail art swap.

In addition to the printed matter for this open call, there is also an audio piece 'birdsong' that you can listen to on here or on bandcamp, and if you wish, pay what you can.

Proceeds will be donated to the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds).

This sound piece was made around the theme of migration, as it relates to our feathered friends and other nonhuman and human species.

Special thanks to

Sarah Bodman - https://cfpr.uwe.ac.uk/people/sarah-bodman/

and

Linda Parr - https://lindasusanparr.com/

for organising another fantastic WBN.
